Friday Fun - In Search of a Smile

It's Friday!

Are you ready for a smile?

Here we go... an email I recieved

On his death bed they asked him where he wanted to be buried and he said. "Surprise me."
Enjoy. Do you remember Bob Hope? You'll enjoythi

I had forgotten that he lived to be 100, and also didn't realize it has been
over  10 years since he died. Always enjoyed him, his movies, and his show. He touched a lot of lives during his life. Thought you might enjoy a bit of memory touching, so sent it along to you. Enjoy and recall a neat comedian.
        BOB HOPE IN HEAVEN
For those of you too young to remember Bob Hope, ask your Grandparents and thanks for the memories. WHAT A WONDERFUL E-MAIL.

I HOPE THIS WILL PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE AND IN YOUR HEART. This is a tribute to a man who DID make a difference.

ON TURNING 70
'I still chase women, but only downhill.'

'That's the time of your life when even your birthday suit needs pressing.'

ON TURNING 90

'You know you're getting old when the candles cost more than the cake.'

, I don't feel anything untilnoon. Then it's time for my nap.'

ON WHY HE CHOSE SHOWBIZ FOR HIS CAREER

Congratulations, you have an eight pound ham.'
ON RECEIVING THE
CONGRESSIONAL GOLD MEDAL
'I feel very humble, but I think I have the strength of character to fight it.'

ON HIS FAMILY'S EARLY POVERTY

Give me a sense of humor Lord, give me the grace to see a joke,

The little piggy at the top did indeed bring a smile to my face. =0)
Lots of great sayings from Bob Hope, and I really enjoyed the tribute.

Your tea party napkins are also very lovely.

Have a good weekend,
Kim

Very sweet. When there were challenges in my childhood I would always turn to the comedians of that time to bring me a smile and get me through.

They taught me how to use my sense of humor to laugh at situations that would make most people cry. It has made me a much more optimistic and positive person.

Comedians such as Tim Conway, Bill Cosby and Bob Hope have always held a special spot in my heart and the latter two were my absolute favorites.

I am now blessed to work at the hospital that Bob Hope spent so much time, money and energy to create. He donated the land for Eisenhower Medical Center, sat on the board along with his wife, and continuously held fundraisers to support and grow this fantastic center.

Very proud of that history and he and his wife were truly good people. Miss them

Thanks for sharing such a lovely tribute Jacki

Have a blessed day

I have such fond memories of watching him and Johnny Carson crack each other up...that famous episode with Bob, Dean Martin and George Gobel was side-splitting. Those were the days when comedy was just...funny!

Thanks for the great post, Jacki. I hadn't heard some of these and they definitely made me LOL!!
