Jacobean Initial Embroidered Ornament
Each initial monogram is rendered in a capital letter using black with a thick mossy green accent on one edge. Bright green tendrils and leaves intertwine over and around the initial, sprouting acorns and flowers. If you look closely, you will see shades of pink, yellow, rust, and gold on the flowers. The entire design is framed by a bright green decorative border. Just outside the border, a decorative zig-zag edge finishes off the ornament.
The ornament itself is made using dark green embroidered felt. Each hangs from a loop of dark green satin ribbon. All letters of the alphabet are available - you will be prompted for your personal initial once the ornament is in your cart.

This beautiful ornament pays homage to the highly decorative Jacobean style, which developed in England during the reign of Kind James I (early 17th Century). This style of embroidery was known for fanciful plant and animal motifs using many colors. It was commonly used to adorn house linens and clothes - both in England and in Colonial America.
Consider giving a personalized gift to a friend or family member. The initial could stand for a first name or a family name. Either way, each year, they will be reminded of you when they place their cherished ornament on the family Christmas tree.
Our hope is to let you bring a bit of traditional ornamentation into your household's family traditions.
