Terrible News

Monday as I visited my clients, I found out that a friend's son and daughter-in-law lost their 18 month old baby girl niece Sunday night.

Such heartbreaking news.

I can not even begin to imagine the loss the parents must feel.

Please pray for God's mercy and healing for their broken hearts.
Pray that they will have the financing to have their precious baby laid to rest.

I found these verses posted on a blog. Author(s) unknown unless stated.

Precious Little One, We had you in our lives such a very short time, but we’ll hold you in our hearts forever.  It seemed like only a fleeting moment, but it was long enough to see you, touch you, hold you, love you.  It was long enough to know that your life was indeed a gift- no matter how brief, no matter how fragile, Your life was indeed a gift, and we’ll hold you in our hearts forever.

Not flesh of my flesh Nor bone of my bone, But still miraculously my own.  Never forget for a single minute: you didn’t grow under my heart, but in it.    -Fleur Conkling Heyliger

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart.  Jeremiah 1:5

Each new life… No matter how fragile or brief… Forever changes the world.

How very softly you tiptoed into my world  Almost silently; Only a moment you stayed  But what an imprint your footprints have left on my heart

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, nor touched, but are felt in the heart.  -Helen Keller

A life may last just for a moment, but memory can make that moment last forever.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

Beautiful memories silently kept of a baby we love and will never forget

I held him for a little while, made plans to watch him grow.  We played each waking moment so he’d know I loved him so.  I cherish all the tiny things that went unnoticed then.  A special bond between us grew my little one, my friend.  A place of honor he will have in my heart and in my home.  It gives me strength and peace to know that he is not alone.  I know that Jesus holds him close and tends his every need.  Our child is safe in heaven; he holds a noble place indeed.

Can you be a Mother when your baby is not with you?  I thought of you and closed my eyes and prayed to God today.  I asked “What makes a mother?” and I know I heard Him say, “A mother has a baby”.  This we know is true.  “But God, can you be a mother when your baby’s not with you?”  “Yes you can,” He replied with confidence in His voice.  “I give many women babies, when they leave is not their choice.  Some I send for a lifetime, and others for the day and some I send to feel your womb, but there’s no need to stay.” “I just don’t understand this God I want my baby to be here.”  He took a deep breath and cleared His throat, and then I saw the tear.  “I wish I could show you, what your child is doing today.  If you could see your child’s smile, with all the other children and say…”  “We go to earth to learn our lessons of love and life and fear.  My mommy loved me oh so much, I got to come straight here.  I feel so lucky to have a mom who had so much love for me.  I learned my lessons very quickly, my mommy set me free.  I miss my mommy oh so much but I visit her everyday.  When she goes to sleep on her pillows where I lay.  I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek, and whisper in her ear, “mommy don’t be sad today, I’m your baby and I’m here.”  “So you see my dear sweet ones, your children are okay.  Your babies are born here in my home and this is where they’ll stay.  They’ll wait for you with me until your lessons through.  And on the day that you come home they’ll be at the gates for you.  So now you see what makes a mother, It’s the feeling in your heart.  It’s the love you had so much of right from the very start.  Though some on earth may not realize you are a mother until their time is done.  They’ll be up here with me one day and know that you are the best one.”

What we have once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us. -Helen Keller

Tiny angel rest your wings sit with me for awhile.  How I long to hold your hand and see your tender smile.  Tiny angel, look at me I want this image clear…That I’ll forget your precious face that is my biggest fear.  Tiny angel, can you tell me why you have gone away? You weren’t here for very long…why is it you couldn’t stay?  Tiny angel shook his head “These things I do not know…But I do know that you love me and that I love you so.”

“Cuddled in Heaven”   We had so little time to share, Too soon, I had to leave.  I know how much you love me.  I know how much you grieve.  I know how sharp your pain is, I feel the aching in your hearts.  My life so quickly ended before it barely had a start.  I remember how you held me, and kissed my face and hands.  You cuddled me so gently, but God had other plans.  I was your perfect angel from God you knew I came.  Suddenly he called me home again, and now God holds my hand.  I know you’ll always miss me, I understand your pain is hard to bear.  Just remember that I’m in heaven and we’ll see each other there.  So smile when you think of me and wipe away all your tears.  I’m cuddled now in heaven by our family members here.  I’m waiting here in heaven, and on the day we meet again, I’ll be the first to smile and greet you, when God calls you home to him.

God saw you getting tired, a cure not meant to be.  So he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come with me.”  With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you fade away, although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.  A golden heart stopped beating, your tender hands at rest.  God took you home to prove to us he only takes the best.

Gone yet not forgotten, although we are apart, your spirit lives within me, forever in my heart.

Ours for a little while, with Jesus forever
