Etsy sellers: notice anything on your sales vs deposits? You should take a look. Seems we are paying commission for off site sales I’m guessing off if Twitter.
Why am I not surprised? How do you get direct sales on twitter?

Suzanne: when someone clicks our Etsy item on a tweet. Since it links to our shop they track it. I saw on my account a few for outside marketing, again! I have never authorized outside marketing. I wish shoppers trusted my indie store like they do Etsy shop.
There was an article a couple of weeks ago about Etsy charging for unauthorized outside ads on eCommerceBytes. LOTS of people are up in arms about it. My experience with ads has to do with Pam of MagdaleneKnits. The daughter of a very good friend had a baby and I ordered a snuggle bunny from Pam for the new granddaughter. Pam emailed me to thank me for the order but also bemoaned the fact that Etsy charged her whatever the unreasonable percentage is for an outside ad. A load of BS on Etsy's part since I went directly to Pam's shop to order - did NOT go to her shop from an ad. I told her that I would be glad to email Etsy and let them know that the charge was wrong. But she was scared Etsy would retaliate against her. Sad.
Suzanne, I get quite a few direct sales from Twitter. More than any other way except for a Google search.
Would really appreciate some prayers for my mother tonight. Sorry for the late post but I am getting very concerned and I believe in the power of prayer.
